I’m from Melbourne, Australia and I am the creator of Cosy Collective.
I took up pottery as an after-work hobby in 2018, having never really had a creative outlet whilst working in the clinical and health science space. I fell in love with the calming activity of throwing clay onto a spinning wheel and using my hands and imagination to tell a story. This led to producing treasured handmade ceramic goodies that I could use around my home, which gave me a feeling of comfort and satisfaction.
In 2020 I decided to take the leap into selling my ceramic pieces and making custom items for people to enjoy. I make ceramic homewares and delicious candles that bring a feeling of ‘hygge’ to any space they sit in.
Whether I am hiking the mountain peaks of northern Norway and taking in the views of the fjords below, or whether I am cosying up on my couch at home with my family, I always appreciate that feeling of hygge. Of being content. Of being cosy.
And I hope that my slow-made, handcrafted pieces can provide that feeling to you as well.
